Life is always the best at the craziest times

Well even though this is my first blog on this site, I wanted to share a little bit about the craziest things in my life. My sons, Mattias is now 7, and believe or not he has met and has gone far past the expectations of the first grade reading level according to his last report card. As a parent that is very exciting, but it doesn't really hit home until he reads to the whole family tonight the book Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Seuss. He was reading the book flawlessly and that book is a real tongue twister at times. He has been bringing home longer books to read for homework too. I am very proud of his accomplishments in reading and how well he sounds out words. Just another fact that my little man is growing up too soon.

The second craziest thing in my life right now is coaching T-Ball for my daughter & teammates. As chaotic as it may seem, and as organized as I am, there are some days that you just have to go with the flow, especially with 4 & 5 year olds. There is always the moments were all the kids run to the ball and dog pile each other until there is a winner that emerges with the ball and other moments were one child stops the ball and throws it completely the wrong way or place. If you are my daughter and you could say several other children on the team; the dirt is the most fascinating part of the game. Let's see how much dirt I can put into my glove and dump out before the ball gets to me. And then there are the days of perfect plays where a player stops the ball and throws it to first base and they get the out.

The third craziest thing in my life right now is the fact that my 7 year old has his first hockey tournament this Memorial weekend.  Unfortunately they will be playing against each other the whole time because the other team had to cancel, but it will still be a good experience for him.  He loves this sport.  He plays it now stop even at home.  He probably even dreams about it.  My husband says almost daily that Mattias has the head of a hockey player and understand the game really well.  Good Luck Little Man!
